Drawdown

Definition, data example, and related pages

A drawdown is the decline in an asset's price from a peak to a subsequent trough, measured as a percentage of the peak. Drawdowns are typically tracked from all-time or local highs and are considered "recovered" once price makes a new high above the pre-drawdown peak.

Bitcoin's all-time high is $126,199.63, reached on 2025-10-06; its deepest drawdown from a prior peak measured -84.9%.
