Noah Lau

Independent quantitative researcher & derivatives trader

Noah Lau built and operates the data infrastructure behind cryptocurrencyhistory.com: tick-level market data collection across spot and perpetual futures markets, and the research pipeline that turns that raw record into the historical datasets published here.

Every figure on this site is computed from that primary data — price history from a canonical cross-exchange spot series, and derivatives metrics (funding rates, open interest, deleveraging events) from exchange settlement and open-interest records. Nothing is copied from third-party aggregators. The full calculation conventions are documented on the methodology page.

His quantitative research focuses on derivatives market microstructure — the same discipline that decides what is worth measuring on this site, and what does not survive contact with the data.
